FAQ
Straight answers about what MarketSky is and is not.
What is MarketSky in one sentence?
A daily read on the market's mood, and what could change it.
Who is it for?
Anyone who wants to know what the market feels like today without learning options jargon. It works whether you trade options every day or you just check on the market once a morning.
What is the read?
Every market day gets one of 12 conditions: Calm, Steady, Pressure Building, Heavy, Hazy, Overheated, Storm Watch, Unstable, Thunderstorm, Clearing, Shifting, or Braced. One word, with a one-line story for why.
Where does the read come from?
From the options market itself. Open interest, prices, walls, and positioning across the symbols traders actually pay for. Not Twitter, not headlines.
How is it different from a sentiment dashboard?
Sentiment dashboards show numbers. MarketSky tells you what they mean. You get one word, one story, and the levels that would change the read.
Is this a signal service?
No. MarketSky does not tell you to buy or sell. It frames the setup so you can see what is happening, and leaves the decision with you.
What does ‘Pressure’ mean here?
Pressure is the spectrum from Calm to Storm. A low Pressure read means the market is at ease. A high Pressure read means the structure is loaded and a small push could move things.
Why are colors not always tied to up or down?
Colors carry the mood, not the price direction. Red is worry, sage is reassuring. A symbol can be down 2 percent and still read Calm if the structure holds.
How many symbols are covered?
70 across indices, mega caps, sector ETFs, thematic ETFs, and volatility products. You can pick which ones show on your watchlist by toggling whole categories on or off.
How deep does it go if I want depth?
Tap any read to open 8 layers: Overview, Levels, History, Across Timeframes, Edges, Mispricings, Unusual Flow, and Data. Use as much or as little as you need.
What does confidence mean on a read?
8 underlying signals vote on the read. Confidence shows how many agree, names the loudest dissenters, and dims the page when the vote is split.
How often does it update?
Free is a daily read. Paid plans refresh intraday during market hours.
Is this financial advice?
No. MarketSky is informational software. The trade is still yours, and options carry real risk.
